It's that time of the year when we have to put bird netting up to protect the grapes. It's sad we have to hide all the Beauty of the vines but it's also nice to see the labor of many years begin to ripen and in a few weeks we will be harvesting our Zinfandel vineyards ....

Our vineyards are looking great we will have to cover them soon with bird netting. All the birds in the valley seem to know when the grapes are ripe....

Yes we farmers best friend is the mason jar it can can to freeze hot or cold mason jars are like cast iron to us farmers we can do about anything we need to with mason jars and cast iron that our staples....

Went out to the organic chicken grass pasture and picked some of our flowers. We have to get out early as we have so many bees working in our pastures they are not mean but out in shorts and sandles we like to be careful....
