Our second baby hatched the wire and stick nest was a good idea until I had to climb on my hands and knees to get the babies we put the hatchlings under lights in a safe cage until the mother finishes hatching her eggs then we will move her and babies back together in the barn

does the mother know you are removing her baby’s? does she try to keep you away?
She is new and confused she is more worried about hatching the rest of the eggs which this is new to me as well so I read up and it says they take about three days to hatch all so I crawled in the tunnel of sticks and bought her off with a stick as she was hissy trying to kill me and she had three more eggs and two dead babies ? as Michael suggested from a far I got the dead babies out
