Meet Shimi our farm cat

"Welcome to Our Farm"

Welcome to our desert oasis. Located 60 miles West of Las Vegas, between Las Vegas and Death Valley. Our goal is to strive to become as self sustainable as possible and being good stewards of our land and animals.
The main goal and focus is in raising animals humanely and providing them the best possible environment in which to grow. This environment must include full access to grass pastures.  Our beliefs is what guided us on our path to becoming the only “animal  welfare approved” farm for our fresh pastured organic eggs, chickens, and geese.
All farm activities are performed with organic and or bio-dynamic growing methods and principles.

Meet Shimi our farm cat

Shimi is going on 19 years old, and let us tell her story.
When we first moved from Orange County, Ca our builder said you may want to get a cat to keep roadents down and snakes away. So off to the pound we went as our cats we moved with were indoor cats only. Shimi lived a crazy life as she brought home 100’s of mice rats and rabbits over the years some dead some alive even a few snakes and even a few rattle snakes. She lost a front leg in our truck fan at three years old. She hopped on the backs of our BLM wild burro jack, our crazy throughbred colts and warm blood sport horses we watched her get bucked off and over the barn roof. She has caught hummingbirds, even hawlks. We rescued a dog that ripped her to shreds ruptured her colon and she never spent the night at the vets because she would spit, hiss, slap and bite everybody but us. We just got her about her twelve life battle abscesses infection not eating to purring screaming for food the vets cannot believe this cat.
