Out with the old and getting ready for some root crops we have four sixty foot beds in this garden . We will be planting several different onions, shallots , potatoes, garlic, and radishes, beets....

This is our winter greens kales, chops, salads, stir fry mixes ,mustards ,cress. It is so rewarding to see germination and knowing our delicious winter greens will be on our table soon....

The vines on sweet potatoes are really pretty and they grow all over the gardens. This year we planted Japanese Okinawan ,and deep purple sweet potatoes....

NOne of favorite crops are our potatoes . The purple potatoes like any purple produce are loaded with anthocyanin which is in the powerful flavonoid family of antioxidants . We will make some Peruvian potatoe soup for dinner....

We roatate our crops and use lots of cover crops to build our garden beds. We are getting these beds ready for some winter crops. We cut the cover crops down to mulch our beds then we use our broad fork in the beds and put compost and worm castings in the gardens . Our free range hens help us work...
