NOne of favorite crops are our potatoes . The purple potatoes like any purple produce are loaded with anthocyanin which is in the powerful flavonoid family of antioxidants . We will make some Peruvian potatoe soup for dinner....

We roatate our crops and use lots of cover crops to build our garden beds. We are getting these beds ready for some winter crops. We cut the cover crops down to mulch our beds then we use our broad fork in the beds and put compost and worm castings in the gardens . Our free range hens help us work...

Like fine wine the older well taken care of garden beds the better they become . This garden bed is about sixteen years old we make sure to rotate crops and cover crop building our soil to grow great tasting food. We cover cropped this bed for eighteen months now it's ready for winter greens,...
