Sometimes we all need to stop and smell the roses. We get so busy at the farm tasks we forget to stop and enjoy. We were checking the farm fence line and kept smelling sweet smells and as we walked into the front of the farm we found all these beautiful roses....

We just finished weeding the garden beds as we started over winter onions and potatos and now that it is spring they are growing well....

We have just about 360 degree mountain views here on the farm, but yesterday afternoon when the wind really was bad we could not see a thing outside with all the dirt blowing. We are very happy that's done with. Farm work is never dull as with the wind we need to make sure everything is watered well...

Well as we went out to feed the animals we surveyed the farm as we had a huge wind storm that they say had gusts to 84 mph . Our heritage breed Spanish black turkeys and chickens are enjoying the fresh organic pasture grasses this morning. We shut everybody in the barn at night time to protect them from predators and open the barn doors at sunrise and let all the poultry to free range all day ,it's amazing to watch them...
