This is a first time for us on the farm to make apple butter so in doing the research we found a recipe that said to leave apple peels and cores in as they contain natural pectin that makes the apple butter set up on its own. using our hierloom farm apples we are turning 15 pounds of apples into canned apple butter. As we were growing up apple butter and pork chops are a staple for our family dinners and having our own fruit we can make organic apple butter. Always something new to learn on the farm....

our annual mosque de Provence pumpkin patch has gone wild and when you walk by all you here is the hum of hundreds of bees busy working we have so many bees on our farm and they all are so friendly ....
