The heirlooms are ripening slowly we get a handful a day and we are on stand by with my dear friend Nancy White to start canning them we have San marzano paste tomatoes we will make and can paste as well as so many wonderful tasty hierloom for sauce....

All our pigs have 1/2 acre grass pastures that are three to four feet tall as well as access to barns and fans.

We have the Vineyards covered. The tweety birds let us know when it's time to cover as they go for ripe fruit. The netting also bottons down the vines and they secure around the fruit to help shade and keep a little cooler. It's not pretty but we only have to do this for 5-6 weeks a year. My farm...

A couple times a year we mow down parts of the chicken grasses to allow more to grow from underneath....

We always have many bees here on the farm and it's a good thing they are so nice we have never been stung by them. Sam our poodle has been stung twice in the ears . These bees appear to be drinking water....
